January 28, 2021 The City of Porterville Leads the Charge. Join Transit Administrator Richard Tree for a tour of Porterville Transit. Visit the solar-powered transit fleet of GreenPower Motor Company buses and Lightning Systems Transit Connect vans. Ride the bus to the downtown transit center, stop by City Hall, and a downtown public parking lot with ChargePoint Electric Vehicle Charging Stations. Hear about the daily start-up for an electric fleet with GreenPower on-site technician Tony Rodriguez and hear about the support from the City Council, a partnership with the local school district and how electric vehicle and equipment companies support Porterville’s economic development goals.
